A Definition Of Zen

Original wording:
Kyõge betsuden
Furyû monji
Jikishi ninshin
Kenshõ jõbutsu

Literal Translation:
A special transmission outside the scriptures
Not depending upon words and letters
Directly pointing at the mind-heart of man
Seeing into one's nature and attaining Buddhahood

Modern English Interpretation:
Something so different, no one could predict it
It transcends language and communication
And affects the most basic instincts and being
Allowing you to truly be yourself and be at one with all the universe

I think anyone who has really gotten into the Zendrum groove will certainly agree.
