Here are some easy options for adding external hard drives with large (TB+) capacities.

Zendrumdrive features two eSATA ports on the front patch panel which allow you to safely transport your fragile external hard drive libraries separate from your Zendrumdrive without sacrificing speed of data transfer. Because speed is of the utmost importance when computers are used for musical applications, we recommend purchasing an eSATA external hard drive like this-

Dave,
Can the Zendrumdrive also be used with an ekit?

Thanks Dave,

Looking forward to it. Plug it in and play. I don't need drama and confusion I just want to play.

Zendrumdrive is fantastic! This is the best gift I could have given to myself, since the Zendrum! I have been working with it for a bit now and have all the drums/percussion setup the way I have dreamed of. This is a mean machine! Kudo's to David and everyone else in on this project. Revolutionary!

Does this system power the Zendrum, or do you still need to use the power brick?

thanks,
~Jay

The MergeBrick is inside the Zendrumdrive.
Plug one MIDI cable into the patch panel from the Zendrum.
MIDIJet wireless power is also inside the Zendrumdrive.

Avast Thar Inspector:

Have ye incorporated any kind of wi-fi into the new zendrumdrive, so that those of us with iPads and the like can control the Zendrumdrive without hooking up an external monitor and keyboard?

Hey Pyrate,
I know you've wanted that for a long time! Cool idea.
Need a wireless router and some remote viewing software on both ends.
I was told by our guys that it's a $100 deal if you buy it yourself and install apps in iPad and ZDD.
My Murphy instinct likes keeping antennae outside the metal vent panels on Zendrumdrive so- MJPro receiver is already up on top and this seems like a great addition sitting next to it with one foot ethernet cable attached.
Latest Zendrumdrive has all pc I/O accessible without removing panel.

Avast Thar Inspector,

There be a free iPad app called Splashtop Remote that seems to work fine for both Windows and MAC computers.  Adding a wireless router should not present a problem, but ensuring a private connection will take a bit of configuration tweaking.  And then there be the small matter of electrical power.  Aye suppose that will not be a problem as a zendrummer needs power for the Zendrumdrive and any external hard drives as well.

Thanks Pyrate!
Knowing what an olde tech spook you are makes me feel certain that there will be hot-rodders and backyard wizards that will make the Zendrumdrive a seriously experimental thing.
All I wanted was a seaworthy boat with no holes in the bottom!
That's what it IS ZERO TROUBLE/ ZERO LEARNING CURVE.
Plug it in, Play it.
When you are ready you can expand to suit however far you want to go.
