Pedal Suggestions
« on: March 26, 2011, 02:54:32 PM »

Can anyone make a suggestion on pedals to use for a hi-hat and bass drum?

I'm using a ZX.

Thanks

Hey Wally,
Since you already have the Z4 circuitboard, you can calibrate for any make kick trigger pedal.
FD-8 Roland works fine for hihat IMO.
I've also got a Moog pedal that works well for volume, but it's not spring-loaded for hihat work.

Avast Thar Matey,

The Roland FD-7 and Alternate Mode HatKat pedals are fine examples of pedals to use for high hats.  Hope this helps.

My picks:

Alternate Mode FatKat and HatKat (beaterless feel does take some getting used to)
Roland KD7 and FD7

Personally I like the FD7 better than the HatKat because of its pedal sensor position and tension adjustments.
