read the forum and decide on modules thats what most of us did while waiting for delivery, that and count the days it;s kinda like Christmas when your young takes forever to get here but it will.

Ingo:

First congratulations and welcome to the family.  I suggest you get some sleep, because when you get your Zendrum you will sleep a bit less enjoying your new instrument.

And try not to think about it too much until you receive it. Easier said than done. Oh great now you have me thinking of mine.
 ;D ;D ;D

@retro surfer: I've won an Alesis DM pro at ebay some month ago, but I can't really use it until my Zendrum is here. ;-) Reading the forum is a good idea, but it makes it hard not to think about it, like Steve said.

@Steve: I'm sorry.  8) Maybe, we should found a self-help group for waiting Zendrummers.  ;D

@Pyrate: I've read the manual twice, already.  :)

@Docdrums: Thanks for the warm welcome! Geting some sleep is a very good idea, because I could bet, I won't get some when the Zendrum arrives. ;-) But that is still six weeks away, so it will not really help to sleep now.  :D

Practice "air-zendrumming" - it will help you figure out how you want to layout your kit.  That's what I did and I think it really helped me get a jump start.

After ages of "air-zendrumming" I got the 1st picture of my zendrum from Gina. Here it is:

Isn't it a beauty? I like that "FRAGILE" imprint. And the color is sensational. Maybe the dimensions are a bit bulky for playing. I also don't know if the paper-version of the LED-display is a good idea, but who cares? The best feature at all is: The Pads are in the same color as the rest of the instrument.

There was another photo in that eMail: http://www.dellwig.de/ingo/pic/CherrySunburst4Ingo.jpg What is that? The merge-box?

It's a bit more rectangular than mine. Must be a custom job.

Man, that might be the most teasing picture ever sent to someone...  You must be bouncing off the walls.

That was pretty fast if you ordered on Feb. 10th.  I ordered mine Feb. 28th, chomping at the bit to get my hands on it.  What you using for a module?  I plan to use Roland TD-6V for starters, also have a pair of Roland KC-500 amps.  Post a picture when you get it so I can drool alittle more.

I've ordered mine on Feb. 7th. FedEx tracking says, that it will be delivered on March 21st.
I'll use an Alesis DM Pro, first. I've just connected a Tascam US-122L to my MacBook and am now trying some software demos.
Gina didn't torture me too much and sent a picture, of course, but the above one was the first I've opened.

Very sweet looking, I ordered mine in the Gibson SG Heritage Cherry.  Always loved the Gibson SG.  I may be seeing couple early production pictures this week.  I have heard alot of people use the Alesis DM Pro, so it sounds like you have a good match there.  Let me know your early thoughts when you get it.

There was no new message at FedEx tracking for 3 1/2 days, but now IT IS IN EUROPE! The box arrived in Paris at midnight local time.
