Zendrum gathering in Atlanta
« on: July 02, 2010, 06:39:25 AM »

To the Zendrum Community,

There was some discussion about a gathering of Zendrummers in Atlanta and the dates were to be in late August.  I was interested to see how many of you can and will be here. I am interested in seeing as many of you as I can. I believe that it will be a very productive and educational event. I am willing to assist in any way I can in order for this event to happen. We need some coordination with the logistics. Any feedback would be great. It is early July and I want to make definite plans for this and it would be good to know how many people are coming.

Thanks,
Mark

So far I am good for that date as well, but you know how the military can really turn any long range plans upside down, but for now, I am in.

Yeah, the signal to noise ratio here is pretty bad.  :-\

I was hoping to make it out there end of August, but looking like a no-go for me now -- too much stuff going on (not that that's a baaad thing) :)

I am in for the 28th.  I spoke with Drshark a few weeks ago and he seems to have a plan, just needs to know how many people are planning on showing up.  That will make the difference between getting a large room to do this or just having a smaller gathering somewhere else.  If you are planning on showing up on the 28th, please step up and say yes so we can get an accurate account of people so we can plan to make this a great event for the Zendrum community.

So far it looks like it will be:

Important message to the Zendrum community !

There will be a Zendrum community gathering in Atlanta at the end of the month of August. All of the Zendrumers of the world are expected to be there. All of you will be required to clear your schedules and be present for this. As you may know, Inspector 109 has implanted a chip into you Zendrum allowing us at Zendrum HQ to track all of the Zendrums made, with GPS. We know where you are !!  Comander and Chief, General Rob Anderson, is in charge of special ops and is presently involved in tracking all of you and mobilizing our special force units. You can surrender peacefully and come to Atlanta for this event, or we will have to send out our special forces to temporarily take you into custody, transfer you and your Zendrum with your gear, to Atlanta for the weekend. You can see General Anderson standing on his humvee, with his Zendrum on his profile, at the ready. We need to hear from all of you.

This message was paid for by the United Community of Worldwide Zendrummers.

I  still have that weekend open and would like to participate. I am a little disappointed that there has not been more input and excitement from the Zendrum troops about this get together.  This will be a great opportunity to see what others have done and maybe we can all learn a little more and be able to share what we have learned. You all know it takes sometimes hours and hours to make just the smallest of steps. Getting to meet some of you at this will be fun and informative. Let get a head count on who can come and lets make this happen! Thumper

I agree Thumper.  I will look forward to meeting you there.

That would be:

DrShark
Pocket Master
Thumper
and the Mayor if we can get a few more Zendrummers to attend.

DrShark, do you know who else may be coming?

Reply,

It is possible that John Emrich and Dave Haney will be able to be there if their schedule permits. I also have Travis Boyette, a consultant from Open Labs, who is very interested in coming. He is a musician/sound engineer who I am working with. I have not heard from anybody else. I must admit, I am a little surprised because there is so much to learn from others, and it is going to be a great time.
