no volume on BFD2
« on: December 08, 2009, 06:05:29 AM »

Hello, I purchased BFD2 yesterday, loaded it on my Macbook.... opening drum set appeared.. very cool, however, only 1 cymbal plays when clicking on all the cymbals and drums. I loaded a groove, once again it plays, but no volume? I turned up the master gain, but no help, I'm thinking it's a simple fix for an experienced user, however, I'm not there yet, Thanks, scvkiltie

Are you using a sound device that supports ASIO?   For Windows we have http://www.asio4all.com/ to fake it in software -- not sure if there is a mac equivalent though.

Make sure to get the latest update for BFD2.

There are no maps for the Zendrum because everyone plays it differently.  Check out the mapping video at FXpansion.com.

To  turn off the grooves go to the groove page and load a blank pallet.

cheers,
John

Thanks for the help, I'm able to load drum sounds on the zdrum, however, sometimes they break up, or I get a high piercing electrical screech at the end ...

Check your sample rate setting and buffer settings.  I also recommend looking at the manual.

Good luck,

Avast Thar Mr. Wizard,

Shiver me timbers, did my eyes deceive me or did you tell scvkittie to "look at the manual".  I'm truly shocked that you would make such a recommendation.  Everyone knows that real men never read the manual or ask for directions.  This is a travesty of Biblical proportions.  What is the world coming to when we have to look at the manual?

In case it didn't come across, I was being sarcastic!
