New BFD2 Expansion Set - MCA
« on: August 03, 2009, 08:09:16 AM »

Greetings,

I am proud to introduce the Maple Custom Absolute Expansion Kit for BFD2.

This download-only BFD v2.1 expansion kit includes toms played with sticks, brushes, mallets, and rods. The bass drums were hit with both a wood and felt beater. The snare drum is played with sticks and hot-rods, with the snare wire on and off for both.

New articulations include rim shots and rim clicks on the toms. The snare also offers rim clicks, as well as support for positional sensing for use with electronic drums.

Maple Custom Absolute 7"x8" Tom
Maple Custom Absolute 7.5"x10" Tom

Hi Mr Emrich, the mca drums sound great. two questions though.  was there  processing (eq,compression) on the demos or is that sound right out the box and how does the stick rim shots on the toms work with the zendrum.  do  you have to use a seperate trigger?

thanks

Hi Mark,

All of the demos that I do for the BFD2 platform are straight out of BFD2 in stand alone mode.  I run a stereo DI out of my Macbook Pro and record with Cubase on another computer where I add the vocal mic and video.  There is a lot of mixing power in the program.  I use it very little.   I like the sound of the samples.

The extra articulations are on seperate MIDI notes.  You could use seperate triggers or cross fades.
