The BEST and only kick pedal that I recommend for the Zendrum is the F.A.T. pedal from Alternate mode.

It responds to dynamics and is very comfortable to play when standing.

More ZAP love in the Music Media...

http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/digitalmedia/2008/01/24/2008-namm-report.html

Everyone who came by the Tascam booth at NAMM, where I was demoing my library, loved the ZAP.  It is a complete hit, slam dunk.

Order now...get a "low" serial number.  Let everyone know you're ahead of the curve, haha!!!

Seriously.

Thanks John - never seen one before - I have a Roland mesh head kick pad but its not exactly compact ... actually I'm thinking of having a go making something with an old Roland acoustic trigger (the old design tom triggers that were rubbish) I guess I could even just strap it to my shoe like the old buskers' 'beer can under shoe' trick  ;)

Anyway I might get one if these FAT pedals if it doesn't work out!

I should add that EVERY person who came by my booth commented on the ZAP, and the Editors-in-Chief of all the major rags were totally down with it.

In particular, Gino Robair did a mean little performance on my O Daiko instrument, and his guy video'ed it.  So hopefully, we'll be seeing that pop up on the interwebs.

David, Kim, Gina, and all the Zendrum family...congrats.  You hit this one out of the park.  People get it.  As many comments as I've had on the ZX over the last year, I've never seen so many people perfectly understand what a Zendrum was about.

Even the Roland guys were all about it...

Bruce,

Nice to meet you as well.

I tried to get free and stop by, but was stuck in that booth for the entire show.  You never want to leave an audience.  When I was lucky enough to get a break, I had to get outside.

Good luck with your sample library.

Hey Everybody,
The June Electronic Musician issue is online now and features a review of the ZAP.
I thought it was fairly written and expressed my viewpoint pretty well.
Check it out at- http://emusician.com/hardware/emusic_zendrumzap/
