Thanks! Yes, everything is fine, here. Except: We don't see the great US-commercials, here. :-(

Time goes by... The new Superbowl is coming up. I'm looking forward for your review of the past season and your thoughts about sunday! :-)

Hey tribe!

The next Superbowl is near, again. Can anyone give me an update about the season?
I'll be watching with friends here in Germany. We want to start an American Party. What must not be missing? Any hints?

Ingo - can't wait...

Frankfurt is calling! Who will visit the Musikmesse in Germany this year? It's from April 1st to 4th. What do you think about a get together?

CU in Frankfurt!

Great game! The last 6 minutes were the best. I only was missing the commercials. They did'nt make the way to Germany. :-(

It's me again. Who can give me a short review about this season? What are your suggestions for the game today?

Ingo - will be watching from midnight to 4:15 am in Germany.

Hey David!

Congrats! The review is really cool. I can’t confirm the writer with his “hard plastic” antipathy (even I expected rubber when I unwrapped my ZX for the first time). You are absolutely right: It is really quick and if you have learned where the max. velocity is, it’s comfortable, too. I’ve already developed a technique that would be impossible on rubber: When I need to hit a trigger when my hand is on the way to another trigger far away, I can hit a trigger and slide over it without losing speed.

So long...

Hi folks!

Here are some news: After the semester break I'll be the new percussionist of the big band "Hava Nice Day". It's at the Technical University of Dortmund, where I studied some years ago. I'm really looking forward to it, because some instruments are amplified and I hope, I can use the ZAP and ZX there, sometimes. Hope, the conductor will like it. ;-) I know the BFD Percussion expansion pack. Are there some more must-haves?

So long...

I've heard about it at the MusikMesse, but it's much more impressive, when you see it! Great video, but why did they mute the German original voice and added an English speaker? ;-) An YES: We know barbers in Germany. :o)

Hi Mark,

the best way to get a new MIDI cable is to order a ZAP. It comes with a free 15" cable.  ;D
Think about it! It will be a good choice, I promise!  ;)

ZenChat / ZAP: Percussionist's choice

Hello Tribe!

Some days ago my ZAP arrived! It's a wonderful piece of craftsmanship and an eye catcher in my office. It nearly broke my heart that I had only a few hours to play it, last week, because I was busy with the CeBIT. But finally the weekend brought some free time and I spent every minute tapping on black plastics. ;-)

I actually use the ZAP with a MacBook + BFD2 and Garageband. I've tried several combinations of instruments an pad-setups and I like playing the drums with the ZAP. I'll have to find some good combinations for orchestral percussion, but I have found two really great jobs for the ZAP already: First it is the best MIDI controller to play steel drums. Look at them and look at a ZAP and you'll know what I mean. And second, I'm looking forward to the next rehearsal weekend with the symphonic orchestra. I play the timpani there and use four timpani in our rehearsal room, but can take only two of them with me, when we play outwards. I'm anxious to see the faces, when I bring the tiny ZAP instead of the huge two timpani and can play all the notes I have to play in any volume.

Just my first impressions - more whenever there is time! ;-)

Wow! I enjoyed the game. The last quarter changed it all. ;)

Hi Mark!

Thanks for the invitation! Unfortunately there is no flight to take me to Atlanta in time. :( Is beaming invented, yet? ;)

OK, so I'll take my fingers crossed for the Patriots. But otherwise... maybe it's more thrilling when the Giants will lead after the first half. So I'll support the Giants in the first and the Patriots in the second halftime. ;)

Have fun - hope you'll find another halftime entertainment!  ;D
