ZenChat / Re: Q: When is a Zendrum like a bassoon?
« on: August 24, 2013, 05:00:52 AM »
I was wondering how I would address the stand issue.
This is great ! Now if I could come up with something clever to hold my drum module at a convenient height and angle I would be in Zen heaven. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Received notification today that my new ZX has shipped.
"Yes - Yes - Yes ( wait a minute I'm not done ) - Yes - Yes .......

Congrats on your new EXP. Tell me - is the finish as beautiful as you expected ? I have a ZX coming in the same  finish. When I was looking through the color chart it just jumped out at me and I knew that was the one. I may end up sleeping with it    :o
Are Psych Services included in the purchase or is that an option ?

At last check my new ZX was in the paint shop. I am hoping for some good news soon that it has shipped and is making its way north to its new home. I am really excited about this ;D
Any New England Zendrummers out there ?

I'd be interested in a standard bass/pedal/trigger. I didn't know that could be done with a Zen.
Yes ? No ?

Two weeks ago today I ordered my ZX. A few more weeks and I'll be a ZenDrummer  :D. I have been really busy so these past couple of weeks have just flown by.
I can feel the excitement starting to build so I'm sure these next couple of weeks will be killer.
Hmmmm - I should start thinking about my forum signature  8)

I plan to place my order today. I've done my homework - purchased a module, practice amp and even some new headphones.
I have had some communications with "The Inspector" and feel comfortable with the product, support and my transition after 40 years of kit playing. I am really looking forward to this new musical adventure.

Maybe one of the moderators can help clear this up - but looking at a purchase directly from Zendrum - Zen Edit is included with the purchase. I plan to order a new Z4 -ZX and under options and accessories - the Zen Edit program is included. ( at least I hope so   )

Congrats Rabid 👍 - I soon hope to order a ZX in that same finish.
I can imagine the anticipation and know that when I finally put in an order, I will be checking often on progress.
Am I mistaken or does the Zen Edit program come with the purchase ?
I have purchased a drum module - practice amp and headphones as well as downloading and studying the ZX and drum module manuals.
I hope to place my order in the next couple of weeks if all goes well.
Best of luck on your new purchase. I hope to be joining the ranks soon.

Thanks for the great info. I am excited to see the zen edit you developed and even more excited to get started with the Zendrum.
I'm certain that Zendrumdrive is the ultimate way to go - I'm not sure that at this stage of my introduction to the midi world after 40+ years of acoustics that I am mentally prepaired for that. I sense that as I become more comfortable with the transition - I will want to upgrade to the best of the best.
Thanks again for yor help - you guys are awesome 😎

Been doing my home work reading manuals. Decided on a Alesis DM 5 because of its simplicity and my lack of knowledge. Bought one on eBay and when it arrived, it didn'work. Just a loud hum with some samples in the distance. Looking for another one. My reading has increased my confidence level. Being old school acoustic - all this technology is pretty intimidating. I have also decided on the Z4 - ZX. Dave has been really helpful with his good guidance. Trying to decide on finish.
Any thoughts ? I really like the Saphire Blue Flame. Not sure that I could justify the exta cost. In any case, I will be. Zendrummer soon. 😀
