ZenChat / laptop config
« on: October 08, 2008, 11:11:46 AM »
Hey duojet, on an older post you mentioned you use a laptop computer with bfd2, which computer manufacturer do you use (dell, xpc) and how did you put in a second harddrive? I want to get a pc laptop to run bfd2 with full processing (eq,compression) and want to get one that can work without latency and freezing up and all the other bad stuff i have read in the past.

thanks

ZenChat / customer service
« on: September 05, 2007, 03:15:40 PM »
Many great posts have been written about how incredibly awesome the turbo freddy receptor sounds and performs.  For me to right another one would be mundane.  But, let me tell you about their reliable and dedicated customer service.  First, I don’t have to dread the often encontered voice machine on the other end of the line telling me what number caller I am (five) and how long I have to wait on hold for previous callers (four) to get help.  When help arrives, I can hear the fumbling of fingers through the pages of the manual.  The tech is desperately searching to find a problem similar to mine and hoping the solution might solve my problem.  And the disappointing answer of  “that should work, if not, call back and explain the whole problem again to someone else. HELP!!!!!!!!!!  When I call The Freddy I hear the jovial human voice of Fred Daniels “HI mark whats up?” (Number one no waiting)  “How’s the weather in Florida?” “How’s the wife and kids?” I’m not a name I am like family.  And Fred will call you back with an answer just like he promised.  When I am having problems with BFD I contact BFD guru John Emrich.  John does not have to thumb through pages in a book to find the answer. He wrote the book!  I did not buy drum sounds in a box. I bought the first time John learned to play a flam or tweak a pan pot.  Many many years of experience are in those drum sounds. These guys love what they do and are compassionate in making you sound good, and have fun while doing it. So, as John Emrich said “the perfect marriage Zendrum, BFD and the Freddy turbo receptor.”
Welcome to the family!!!!!

ZenChat / travel cases
« on: March 27, 2007, 12:13:46 PM »
Hi ,can anybody reccommend a travel case for a sound module. I was looking at gator and road ready, about  a 4 space rack, light and easy for traveling.  I like the molded plastic ones  but a friend advised me towards solid plywood.  I don't care for the  ply due to the weight .  Any suggestions.  I will be using it at  hometo hold my module and for traveling to gigs.

ZenChat / receptor case/stand
« on: March 10, 2007, 05:53:27 PM »
I ordered a freddy receptor pro and am wondering if anybody can give me some advice.  I want to put it on a stand similar to the gibraltar  bongo stand /custom zendrum stand top that you use to hold a zendrum.  I have one for my zendrum and it works great.  I am thinking of putting a 2 space rack/case on the stand top and put the receptor indside the case.  I want to have the receptor at least the same height as the zendrum so i don't have to kneel down to the floor if i have to adjust the receptor.  Any advice appreciated.

ZenChat / dm pro help!!
« on: December 25, 2006, 02:58:26 PM »
Hi, I am trying to put the sounds on my pretec fad008-p flash memory card and copy them to the user bank on my dmpro.  I am using soundbridge to put the wav sound files on the flash card and do not have any problems, but when I try to copy them to the user bank, the message "no program data at this bank' appears.  I know the sounds are on the card because I hear them on the dmpro. any suggestions?
thanks
