Congrats on your new journey! i recieved mine a lttle while ago an i also love my zendrum! I pick it up everyday and play a little and it is becoming easier. i think the hard part is the tweaking of the sounds to get just the right one where you want it . I have been changing my mapping as i find that certain sounds should be close together. The fun is in all the experimentation and the unlimitness that this instrument can do. Good luck and keep practicing THUMPER

Thank you for your response. right now i am using a roland spd-20 to trigger my sounds with a bose  L1 with 2 subs and somtimes 4 with the paclite  amp and i am researching what else is out there . I am trying to get as small of a footprint as i can. Between the amp.processor, zendrum, cables, mic, it gets to be alot to load in and set up so i am trying to make that simple and still sound good . I ordered my custom wood curlyflame maple with figured Cherry March 23rd and it came to my door Today, It is beautiful. David you guys rock. Thanks for getting it to me so quickly. Now the fun part. i have already hooked it up to my Roland SPD-20 and have gotten it to sound off. The triggers are very responsive. i know I will be asking several questions to the forum and hope that I can get up and running quick and easy. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thumper

Tech Help / Protecting back of zendrum
« on: April 13, 2007, 07:46:03 AM »
This is not really a technical question but thru the years of playing i have seen many guitars that have been played that the back of them get scratched with belt buckles . What methods  do you use to protect  the back of the zendrum thumper

After reading all your posts about your waiting and then receiving your zen drum, I'm in suspense! You must be totally immersed in learning you new instrument  because you havnt posted here recently. How do you like it? is it as easy to program as you imagined?  What module /set up are you using? I am now waiting impatiently for mine to come  to me . Just a few more days of waiting. Anyway congrats on getting yours. Looking forward to hearing a report. THUMPER

If i understand this correctly there will be no latency when you play live using the recepter and BFD? Only when you record thru the computer?  THUMPER

CONGRTATS Im glad your wait is over. Now the fun part starts. Practice,Practice,Practice. Thirty days or so and counting for mine. I keep reading every thing i can find on playing to past the waiting. it would be helpful if some of you zendrummers post some of your main setups and patches for us noobies to try out. Keep on drumming THUMPER

;D Just received notice:  "Your Zendrum is coming out of the paint room today ready to bring to the clean assembly room...David says it will need a few more days to cure to the hardness that can be final-sanded and buffed, then he is expecting to do final assembly and ship it by Friday."  Sounds like I may be getting my hands on my Zendrum soon.  Just tried out one of my two Roland KC-500 amps this weekend, sound real good.  I'm ready, bring on the ZEN!!

i have just ordered mine 35 days or so and counting. I am looking forward to being in your shoes soon thumper
