ZenChat / Re: Finger Techniques

I use the tail section row of four and use the top row as a kick on the index, highhat on the ring finger, snare on the third and open hat on the end and hit it with my pinky. On the row below it I put a ride cymbal and bell on the end. It is easy to play a one handed groove and an easy switch from HH to ride patterns.

I use the battery box with the CME X8, a bit bulky with two small boxes clipped on my strap.

After using the CME X8 for a while I am very satisfied! It is a nice alternative to the embedded wireless as I am not in the US and able to get my Zendrum in the shop.

Worked great for me, I use a Mac Book Pro with up to date OS. It also worked fantastic to get Zen Edit working for me as well! Wish the Midi In and Midi Out connectors were different colors though!!

I just ordered an Uno so I can use Zen edit because I have heard it was the simplest and most reliable USB interface. Boy, I hope it works!

The CME WIDI-X8 works great! It was nice to throw the m-audio mid-air in the trash.  :D

I had the the Z4 upgrade in 2011 so it is pretty much up to date. I have drug it around with me to 14 US Embassy assignments to date!! Going through the Afghanistan airport in 2005 was the worst so far, the guards were taking their hands toward their triggers when they inspected it. I could have used some 007 features. Currently in Monrovia, Liberia and taking it to an open mic after some woodshedding.

Just looked inside my Zendrum and noticed that it was made in 1997 and inspected by Mr. 109. It is 16 years old this year!! ;D

The Mid Air blows, can't wait to get something better and throw it in the rubbish bin. The CME looks great at around $240 instead of the Midi Jet Pro. Can anybody verify that it works with Macbook Pro?

Thanks!! I'll try it later today and get back, I'm pretty sure it's "pilot error". Your quick advice is really appreciated Sir!

When I send changes to my Zendrum using the Sys Ex transmit button I lose notes on my Zendrum. I have to put the notes back on using the cursor and it takes a long time. Also, when I receive SysEx it goes to 99% and says "Complete with errors". I loaded with SysEx librarian and it worked fine.
I have a ZX 4, Macbook Pro, use a M-Audio Midi Air, BFD2 ran through Garage Band. I am anxious to learn this program better!!
