To the Zendrum community,

We had a fantastic weekend here in Atlanta. The Zendrummer gathering was amazing. Thanks to all the participants for making this event very special. I am planning on making this event an annual get together and look forward to seeing more folks bring their talents to showcase, and use an an educational tool for others to benefit. Thanks to David Haney for his participation and wisdom as well as John Emrich for making himself available via Skype and allowing us to peek into the future. A big shoutout for the guys who took their show on the road and traveled a great distance to be here, Mike Campasso, AKA Thumper, traveled from Austin Texas to be here. You rock my friend. Rob Anderson, AKA Pocketmaster, from St. Louis. A military man who brought the heat with him. This is one amazing Zendrummer who everyone needs to know and see play live. Of course, we had the great Tom Roady, AKA The Mayor, in town from Nasheville, to bring his many talents and share great stories. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet you sir. And of course, the local folks, Kim Daniel, who I finally got to meet, and the professor Bob Santianna who both live here in Atlanta. Several outstanding moments included a presentation by Rob Anderson to David Haney, an American flag, encased, which was flown over Irag. There were some great pix of Rob in the desert displaying his beautiful Zendrum, in his fatigues, along side some heavy artillary. NICE !!  Another amazing moment in time was having six Zendrummers playing together in time. Kim and Tom utilizing their melodic skills as others played kit pieces and percussion. I was extremly proud to be a part of that. Also, thanks to my wonderful wife, Christine, for her audio/visual expertise and for all the wonderful food that she prepared. Personally, I gained some extremly valuable knowledge and made some lifelong friendships that I will treasure forever. I look forward to the next meeting.

Reply,

It is possible that John Emrich and Dave Haney will be able to be there if their schedule permits. I also have Travis Boyette, a consultant from Open Labs, who is very interested in coming. He is a musician/sound engineer who I am working with. I have not heard from anybody else. I must admit, I am a little surprised because there is so much to learn from others, and it is going to be a great time.

Important message to the Zendrum community !

There will be a Zendrum community gathering in Atlanta at the end of the month of August. All of the Zendrumers of the world are expected to be there. All of you will be required to clear your schedules and be present for this. As you may know, Inspector 109 has implanted a chip into you Zendrum allowing us at Zendrum HQ to track all of the Zendrums made, with GPS. We know where you are !!  Comander and Chief, General Rob Anderson, is in charge of special ops and is presently involved in tracking all of you and mobilizing our special force units. You can surrender peacefully and come to Atlanta for this event, or we will have to send out our special forces to temporarily take you into custody, transfer you and your Zendrum with your gear, to Atlanta for the weekend. You can see General Anderson standing on his humvee, with his Zendrum on his profile, at the ready. We need to hear from all of you.

This message was paid for by the United Community of Worldwide Zendrummers.

OK, Good stuff. The crossfade ability alone is worth the price for all of you Roland TD-20 folks. I was looking for the nice figured cherry color of my Zendrum to show my wife and the color schemes are limited. I also have the Purple heart inlay, no way to get that going. What's up with that? It must be coming out in the next version. :) It is really good Darin. Keep working on it. I think it will continue to evolve and really be great but it really is a good start.

Nice going !!!! This is AWESOME !!! Thank you for doing this. I will be purchasing and downloading it on Thursday night. Can you discuss what the diffrence is using your interface with a Z4 vs a non Z4 Zendrum. ( I have one of each and need to rationalize getting the other one upgraded.)

Thanks,

Mark

To the Zendrum Community,

There was some discussion about a gathering of Zendrummers in Atlanta and the dates were to be in late August.  I was interested to see how many of you can and will be here. I am interested in seeing as many of you as I can. I believe that it will be a very productive and educational event. I am willing to assist in any way I can in order for this event to happen. We need some coordination with the logistics. Any feedback would be great. It is early July and I want to make definite plans for this and it would be good to know how many people are coming.

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Zendrum community,

Does anyone have any experience using any of the Akai MPC modules with their Zendrum? If so, could you give us the pros and cons?

Thanks,

Mark

Happy Memorial day weekend to all. As we remember the men and women who have made our country great, we need to thank people like Rob who continue to serve. Looking forward to meeting you Rob. I am hoping that the gathering in Atlanta works out.

Thanks for that opinion Jer & Pyrate. Also, I wanted to ask you about Open Labs,  Sound Slate.  I am interested in comparing and contrasting the benefits of this piece against getting a Mac Book Pro lap top.

Thanks

Hey tribe,

Has anyone used the Behringer FC 1010 pedal ? If so, can you give a review? If there is a better pedal to use, could you recommend it and tell us what the diffrences are?

Also, Funny Story-

I was on stage and I walked out on stage with my Zendrum. (The ZX) and I had my LT on a table. People were curious about my Zendrum and started getting a little more vocal with their curiosity. So the lead guitar guy says, ok Mark, tell them what it is. Well, something came upon me, so I said it was a medically implanted device, that was put on my chest, to make it easy for the women in my life, to push my buttons !! The place roared !! I pointed to the girl in the front row and asked, do you want one of these for your man? Another roar, then I said that this device is available in a female version and I picked up my LT. The guys went crazy. I said that it could be implanted anywhere on the body and I placed the LT on my head. And I said that the female version comes with an optional drink holder to secure the beverage of his choice.

In the words of Larry, the cable guy, That's funny, I don't care who you are.

Also, we need more discussions in this chat room. I am tired of being asked to order my  through this site. :)

Hey Zendrummers of the world. It was brought to my attention that Apple has come out with a new Macbook that has the I-5 processing. You also have the option to get a solid state hard drive. (No moving parts there, Inspector 109) It still has 4 gig of RAM, but the I-5, it should help with speed and potential latency issues. I was wondering if anyone has this and used it. Post some reviews and tell us what software you are using with it. My initial impressions are that this may be the ultimate machine to conquer all of the software issues people are dealing with, provided that the software compatability issues are not there. The pricing is around the same price as the older model that they just upgraded from. Looking forward to hearing some feedback.

Hey Darin,

I agree with Jer's comments. I am willing to pay for it. I am also willing to be a beta site if you need one. I am interested in knowing how this GUI will be able to interface with ALL the software  programs and modules that are available to us. Also, the compatability issues with computers, ie, Windows 7 vs Vista etc. I am excited to see how this works out. You Rock !!
