Very unique indeed !!!! Have a great time with it. Mark

Hey there. It is my understanding that using the Zendrum through a Muse recptor with your BFD software really rocks. It may be the best way to do what you want to do. I play through a Roland TD-20 and  I would love to have this set-up. SOMEDAY. Hope this helps. Mark

Hey Ken, I would be interested in coming. I also use the TD-20 module and would drive up from Atlanta. Please know that I am also in the same position to host an event like that here. Who knows. we might be able to get inspector 109 AKA David Haney to attend. Mark

Congrats Chris, Welcome to the tribe. Whenever someone gets a new Zendrum, they are required to communicate their name, rank, and serial number. In this case, model (ZX), woods used, and other peripheral equiptment that you plan to use to complete yourself. Good Luck, Mark

Hey fellow Zendrummers, I have a ZX and I also had a long debate with myself about which model to go with. I thought it would be easier to play the laptop because you could set up the triggers the same way as a conventional drum set, but I went the other direction. I would LOVE to have both, BUT, doesn't that mean having to have a second module to run it on ? I have the TD-20 and I don't know if I can hook up a second Zendrum. Another question for those who are fortunate to have two, do you get matching colors/wood ? Thanks Mark

Hey Drumhead99, I enjoyed your last song. You are an excellent drummer and your band is outstanding. I don't know if you ever heard of a band called "Dream Theater", but you should check them out if you haven't. They are the same genre as your band . They are superior musicians and very popular. I saw them in Atlantic City at the outside venue at the Borgata opening for "YES" and they played an incredible set including the instrumental song "Machine Messiah" off the YES album Drama. That was extremely well done. Check it out when you get a chance. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your contributions you make to the tribe. Mark

Thank you kbour. I also added two more toms and another symbol and will use the last of my aux with another symbol and it would probly be worthless to spend the money to get the v-expression expansions. I will wait for Roland to come out with the new board. Dr Shark

Hey you guys. If John E and Mike Farell, AKA drumhead 99, are ever in the same place, I want to be there too. I'm in Atlanta Georgia and I want to get together with these people to learn and exchange info. Because of John E, I have been researching that Muse Receptor and BFD software. Very interesting. I am getting tired of disconnecting my Roland TD-20 module from the kit to go places and then rewiring it. I would also be interested if anyone has purchased the V-expressions expansion for the TD-20 module and if they like it. Keep up the chat. You people ROCK !!! Dr. Shark

Good afternoon ladies and gentleman. Let me first say that it is an honor to be part of this chatroom and I have the utmost respect to all of you who are utilizing this awesome instrument. I am using my ZX figured cherry with purpleheart center (see product catalogue, custom) with the TD-20 module and kit, and I did purchase the TD-20 manual DVD to help me understand all of its capabilities. I got it on line and found it very helpful. Please make sure you have the ability to hit the pause button quickly and often. I have watched that sucker over and over and still learn more things every time I watch it. I must admit that I do not use crossfades and I don't think the DVD will help you with this function, so don't get it if this is the only thing you are interested in. Thanks to all of you who make wonderful contributions to this site. It is very important for all of us to communicate in order for us to grow and get better. Special thanks to Inspector 109 and wife, drumhead 99. Mr. Wizard Emrich and the Pyrate. Sincerely Dr. Shark, Atlanta Georgia
