ZenChat / Re: IMPORTANT: This Town Ain't Big Enough

Dear Geo,
First: Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for Zendrum.
Now: I am so sorry about what has happened to these forums. David says that you will probably start archiving threads from the forums to save the information. I have a request: I have only posted here a very few times, nothing noteworthy except for the history of the number of Zendrums in the world. I would like to request to archive these posts/threads:
1) The number of Zendrums in the world (July 2007):
http://zendrum.com/forums/index.php?topic=536.msg2631#msg2631
http://zendrum.com/forums/index.php?topic=536.msg2634#msg2634
2) Update to the number of Zendrums in the world (November 2010):
http://zendrum.com/forums/index.php?topic=3523.msg9508#msg9508
Again, thank you for everything you do!
Gina

ZenChat / Re: Our Brother, Tom Roady
« on: November 28, 2011, 02:35:58 pm »
Hello all,
We are so very sad about Tom's passing.
It turns out that it wasn't actually the cancer that took him:
Here is the Facebook post a little while ago from his wife Melanie:
"My sweet husband, Tom Roady, died last night. He was doing what he loved being on the road with Ricky Scaggs. Tom went to sleep on the tour bus heading to South Carolina and passed peacefully in his sleep. His big beautiful heart gave out in the end, not the cancer."
Nashville and the music world has lost The Mayor.
Rest In Peace, Yer Honor.
Love, Gina

ZenChat / Futureman In The House
« on: November 21, 2010, 10:51:28 am »
Hey Everybody,
Futureman came to play in the Zendrum lab the other day! It was a surprise visit (he said he just "teleported in") on his way back home to Nashville from Atlanta. He played David's wireless Zendrum his way ("upside down & backwards") with the new sounds that Zendrum is developing. What a great 3-HOUR drum solo that was! And a great hang til around midnight.
I took photos and put up an album at the Zendrum Facebook page...if you want to see them please click on this link:

Thanks and go well!

ZenChat / Re: How Many Zendrums?
« on: November 11, 2010, 05:13:27 pm »
Hi Rob,
I can already tell you that the Zebrawood ZX has always been the most popular model through the years.
Another stat I need to do now is how many Z4.3/wireless/more triggers retrofits we've done.
We were hoping that you were going to bring your Zendrum here in person for the Z4 upgrade...that's the rumour from the Inspector. But it's also very cool that you are playing it so much that you can't let it go! We'll do whatever you decide, but it's always good to get to see you guys in person!
So, swing by Nashville and pick up The Mayor and y'all come see us!
Go well,
Gina

Hi there,
This is actually a question for me since I keep the records.
As of today, November 11, 2010:
The short answer is 1263 Zendrums are out there in the world.
The long answer is that I'll get back to you with the current breakdown of #'s of models! (I haven't done all the numbers for 2010 yet)

Inspector 109 guessed at the number a few years ago before I'd had a chance to actually go through all the records and compile the stats. Here are my two posts from mid-year 2007 when I was working on this statistics project:

http://zendrum.com/forums/index.php?topic=536.msg2631#msg2631

http://zendrum.com/forums/index.php?topic=536.msg2634#msg2634

Whenever anyone asks this question it prompts me to finish the numbers, so thanks for asking! I'll get to it as soon as I have another couple of hours to do it.

Back innaminit!
Gina at Zendrum

BTW, y'all: Zendrumdude is in Atlanta and is coming out to visit us this evening at Zendrum World Headquarters...we're really looking forward to meeting another longtime Zendrummer (since 1997!).

Hi Dave,

Wow...that WAS close! You were only about an hour away (depending on Atlanta traffic).
So glad you experienced real Southern Hospitality! Yes, please do let us know if you ever get here again...we hope we'll get to meet you next time!

In the meantime, go well!

ZenChat / Re: Any Zendrummers near Key West FL?
« on: March 02, 2010, 06:12:42 am »
Hi Rob,

Yes, long-time Zendrummer Redawg Solinski is in Key West, plays at Irish Kevin's & a couple of other places there all the time...I think everybody in Key West knows him, AND his 2 Zendrums!! I don't know if he watches this forum actively but he's a member here "redawgrocks", so you could pm him. Redawg is also a member at Zendrum's facebook page...look in the Techno-Tribe photo album (I just added ~40 more photos to that album).

Thanks & go well!
