ZenChat / Eigenharp
« on: November 24, 2009, 05:36:27 pm »
The Eigenharp Alpha appears to be a very well thought-out MIDI controller. It requires a Mac to play it and connects via a USB MIDI interface. The more I look into it, the more impressed I am.

ZenChat / Alesis DM10 Pro Kit
« on: July 20, 2009, 07:22:56 pm »
Alesis has developed a new drum kit and module. It is called the DM10 Pro. I haven't been able to find out yet how much it will cost but the kit with module is supposed to be available sometime in the third quarter of 2009.

« on: August 01, 2008, 07:48:24 am »
Hello:
The Electro-Muisic 2008 festival is being held in Kingsport, TN on Aug. 14-16. The admission price is reasonable ($50.00/3 days) and they'll be having concerts, workshops, and some open jam sessions. I'll be there with Zennie.

ZenChat / pad squeezing
« on: May 17, 2007, 05:12:28 pm »
I got all reflective last weekend and realized that when I play with other musicians I tend to squeeze the pads on my Zendrum for the interesting effect it produces. Of course I tap the pads as well, but squeezing or pushing on the pads changes the sound in a pleasing way. Any other "pad squeezers" out there?

ZenChat / Animusic

Howdy Tribe:
I just checked out this program on PBS called "Animusic 2". It consists of music and animation by Wayne Lytle and it is incredible! It is very percussion-heavy and a real Zendrum-playing inspiration.
Here is a link to the Animusic 2 web site where you can check out the video clips:
