ZenChat / Re: IMPORTANT: This Town Ain't Big Enough

Sorry to hear this,  when i first got my Zen I lived on here for a while and it was priceless.   I stopped coming because of the spam and just having moved on i guess but this is a sad day.  Ive always been surprised as I'm a member of at least a half dozen forums non that have any of the the issues you do here ,  Like I said its a sad day and thanks to all the old-timers that helped me get my start with my zen in 2006.  Still playing a maple Zen Laptop model on all my solo acoustic guitar gigs and still get lot's of fun comments about it .

Good Luck and goodbye all

I don't have a Zendrum, but... / Re: LT vs. ZX
« on: October 02, 2007, 04:06:11 pm »
I agree they both are nice I have the LT and love it.  I play guitar most of the time so I have my LT on a stand. most of the time it sits in my music room on the stand ready for writing and recording and I really enjoy it for laying down rythm  tracks while writing on the guitar

I just played that the other night at a friends party, as a guitar player my first thought was that it was kind of cheesy but as the night wore on and the brew flowed t was kinda fun and harder than it looked I play guitar and have for 30 years and I got smoked by friends who's only musical instrument is a ipod

I'm using a Bose PAS dual sub set-up and I like the sound and the functionality I play a guitar primarily and use the zen laptop on a stand nice volume and sounds good in almost any location even outdoors and big rooms

have you increased the output latency setting?  that usually results in popping or degredation of the sound but can also cause a distict latency sound it is usually set pretty low on default settings if I remember but it's been a while since I tried it try adjsuting these latency settings since they depend on the audio card and pc speed to work

this is current technology the keyboard does not exsist yet but the company makes a little usb device with three keys that is available now I have 2 that I use to control functions on servers one shows the server status and cpu usage and disk space the other actually shows video that is editing and a soundlevel as well as a freeze track shot very handy devices can't wait till they get larger array of this technology in the future but a whole keyboard while cool would be very $$$ currently OLED technology is about 50 bucks per key so a keboard would cost almost 4k and take all your memory but it'll be here soon
